With your psychiatrist you can minimize or cure it with medication and some tips from the psychiatrist. Hope you can have an improvement and pass the exam..

Don’t let that doctor diagnose you with either.
You probably have Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity, courtesy of the wireless boom, like I have…

Funny that you would ask this question b/c I asked this same question of my school advisor. ADHD is not a learning diability in itself, but a psychiatric disorder. Often those with ADHD do in fact have other *true* LD’s such as dyslexia, so maybe it would benefit you to be testing for all relevant issues.
I get a little angry when people say that those with ADHD are dumb or looking for an excuse b/c that’s a stereotype that’s just not true. Those who truly have difficulty are like those who are suffer depression; it’s caused by a chemical imbalance. Tons of research has shown that many kids diagnosed actually have IQ’s that are higher than average, and when properly medication are very successful in life. But remember that medication is not a cure and doesn’t work for everyone. Paired with cognitive therapy and even use of a life coach to ‘unclutter’ your life is the best mix.
Your situation sounds much like my life at your age. I was always told I wasn’t smart enough to go to college and I should just keep my expectations low. Who the hell says that to a kid? Now I’m working on that second degree, but it’s taken the proper diagnosis, meds, etc. One question, can you postpone taking the exam until after your appointment? Diagnosis may take a little bit as you’ll need to be tested, etc. If you find that you’re entitled to these accommodations, I bet you testing will go a little smoother than you expect.
